   I wish to ask any members if they know where I can get a brass coloured Crossclaw and spike for a Victorian Service helmet as the one that I have is the wrong colour. I have a sizeable collection of service helmets.

   I published a police pictorial history call Helmets and Caps and I used to repair both Police and Military helmets, but after constant problems with purchasing parts I retired from repairing and started to collect.

      Jon,

      dealers often keep a stock of spare parts so contact them. Alternatively, eBay.
