The ‘Sun helmets’ in the british army are actualy called Pith Helmets or Kitchener Helmets
These helmets went by a variety of names including Solar Topees, Sola Topis, Egyptian Pattern, India Pattern as well as the official designations of Colonial Pattern, Wolseley Pattern, Pith Hat, Khaki Solar Pith Hat.
